Over to Los Algodones, Mexico

sunny 25 °C

We hopped over to Los Algondones, Mexico yesterday. John has some new earplugs ordered for half the price we paid in Canada and I have new glasses getting made. Wow, unbelievable prices and a dentist on every corner and where there isn't a dentist office, there is an optometrist shop.

It was unreal how you can walk over the border (too chancy to drive and the Indians operate a parking lot right there and only charge $5 to park your car) and walk right into old Mexico with all the little shops and all the vendors pursuing your dollar. New Mexican saying..."come and buy some junk you don't need!) We went with 2 other couples and had loads of fun, I had a pedicure for $13 and Linda had the whole hair job (dying, streaking, trim and do).

And while there, Griswald found a new friend, he was pretty excited about that, now he isn't quite as lonely and doesn't feel like the third wheel on the family vacation. Only problem is that when we got back to the car with Gomez, we discovered that he had broke his leg on the way back, now we just need to find a wee bit of glue and he will be all fixed!
