9 Holes at the Cocopah Bend RV Golf & Resort

sunny 22 °C

So, today was visiting with Duane and Linda, doing some power tanning around the pool and then we had a golf game with Myrna and Jim out at Cocopah.

Well, it was interesting for sure. Have you ever golfed down the center road of a trailer court? Well, I suppose it was wider than that but only because you golf a couple holes down and then turn around to the left and golf a couple holes back. Not the golf courses like we are used to in Canada, that's for sure. And apparently, it is quite prestigious to have a RV on the golf course...well, okay, a RV with a baseball backstop in front of it to protect it from errant golf balls!!! There was the odd one without the backstop and guess what...yep, between the four of us, we all managed to ping a few balls off a few RV's. As a matter of fact, we lost a couple balls which are probably embedded in some trailer skin.

The grass was nice and green and the greens were in top shape but can't say that hitting my ball straight ahead constantly is much of a challenge...well, maybe it was but it got kinda boring with the same trailer park scenery. So, cross this one off the list of wanting to golf it again!

Unfortunately Griswald needed some rest and stayed back by the motel pool so we didn't even get a picture today!

Tonight watching the opening Olympic ceremonies, so sad about the Georgian luger! RIP

Tomorrow over the border and into Mexico to check out Los Algodones!
