Yuma Prison

semi-overcast 24 °C

No, we didn't get thrown in........just went for a tour of the Yuma Territorial Prison. The old prison was opened for business (ha, ha) in 1876. Some of the first prisoners were even pressed into building and constructing parts of their own prison. It operated for 33 years and then due to overcrowding, the prisoners were moved to another prison and the prison is now a museum of sorts.

Here's a few pics and let me tell you, inside those cells was dirt floor and grubby stone walls!

Today we golfed yet another 9 hole course. This was again one of the best, it is part of the three golf courses in the foothills of Yuma and they have been the finest ones we have found so far! I didn't get a birdie today but I did some pretty fine putting and impressed myself even!!!
