Yes, we finally remembered to take Griswald out and wow, was it so worth it! We went golfing at Las Barrancas Golf Course (designed by Arnold Palmer) and WOW, that is a course.
Green grass, beautiful scenery in the foothills of Yuma, deluxe golf carts which included a ball washer, a cooler, and a GPS system with scorecard marker. Paved cart paths and lots to see! It was an absolutely awesome day! We saw the sunset over the city and golfed pretty good.
We saw different birds, rabbits and little bats when the sun set! This course is amazing, however, I am not sure how the senior snowbirds will be able to manage this professional course. The long term goal of all the courses down here is to build housing around them and this one is a beaut. The terrain follows many washes (stone drainage paths) which only are wet when it rains (it hardly rains, lol).
And I took lots of pictures...
Later we decided to go to the movie...seniors nite you know! It cost $4 and that's with a free barrel of popcorn. Advantages of being a senior...maybe, lol! Eight theatres although not too interesting movies showing so we just picked one. The movie we went to "Up in the Air" starring George Clooney was only worth $4 (don't see it!).. There was 6 of us plus one other couple who came in to the theatre--yes 8 people @ $4 each=$32...guess there wasn't much profit made there!
